● Natural Condition: 　　Beijing Airport Industrial Zone locates 1km to the west of Beijing International Airport, at east longitude 116°35′48〞, north latitude 40°04′20〞. It is in the North Temperate Zone with a semi-humid and continental monsoon climate, distinct seasons and abundant sunshine. The average temperature over the whole year is 11.5℃ with a yearly average wind velocity2.2m/s, the average annual rainfall 610.2mm, sunshine percentage 60%, ground relative humidity 62% and maximum frozen depth of soil 75cm. 　　The zone is located on the second terrace of Wenyu River__the famous Jing-Hang Grand Canal. The terrain is flat with a ground slope of 1.7? below and elevation of 26.4m__30.4m above the sea level. 　　The geographic layer under the Zone is quaternary Holocen, falling into the category of river and lake deposit, mainly composed of alluvial sub-sandy soil and sub-clay with silt layer in between. The stability of lithology and lithofacies is in middle range. The load-bearing capacity (R) is normally 10-15 tons /m2. The anti-earthquake coefficient of the buildings is 8℃. The ground water level is 1.6m__4.5m. There is no pollution to the surface water.
● Environmental Conditions 　　Beijing Airport Industrial Zone (BAIZ) is located in Shunyi District (in 1998, the State Council officially upgraded Shunyi county into Shuiyi District), the northeast part of Beijing. Shunyi District takes the leading position among the Hundred Strongest Counties in China and ranks the best of the 80 basically realized wee-to-do counties (cities) which are evaluated by the National Statistics Bureau. ● Land Transportation 　　BAIZ is located 1000 meters west to the Capital Airport Expressway with National Highway__Jing Ceng Highway running across from south to north which divides the Zone into District A and District B. BAIZ is 15km away from San Yuan Qiao in downtown, 17km away from the business center of Beijing and 150km away from Tianjng Tanggu Port. 　　Air Transportation:Beijing Capital International Airport is the biggest one in China. After its enlargement in 1999, the annual passengers handling capacity will be 35,000,000 persons/times, the annual flight handling capacity will be 190,000 sorties, and the cargo and mail processing ability will reach 780,000 tons. At present, BAIZ has a Special Cargo Expressway to the Airport. 　　Road: Jingmi Road is the starting section of the Jing Cheng Highway. There are bus No.359, 915, 916, 918 and other two bus-lines to downtown Beijing. 　　Railway: BAIZ is 20km, 30km away from Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station respectively.
